Tickets…Get Your Detorit Lions Tickets
 The UAW Local 652 Recreation Committee has put together a trip to see the Detroit Lions play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Detroit on November 9. The cost of this event, which includes a ticket and bus ride, is $68 per person. Tickets will be on sale Friday, September 12, 2008 from 3:30 p.m.until 5:00 p.m. at the UAW Local 652 Union Hall. You MUST be a UAW Local 652 Union Member to purchase tickets. There will be a limit of four (4) tickets per member and will be sold on a first come first serve basis only.
On game day the bus will leave the Union Hall at 9:30 a.m. and kickoff is at 1:00 pm.
Veteran's Committee Golf Outing
 Mike Melfi and the UAW Local 652 Veteran's Committee will be holding their "1st Annual" Veteran's Committee Golf Outing on September 6, 2008. The outing will be held at Centennial Acres in Sunfield. Cost to play in the four person scramble is $55 each. Price includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, beverage and BBQ at the turn and a Steak dinner after the outing. There will also be golf prizes including Men and Women's Longest Driver, Longest Putt and Closest to the Pin.

Head Assembly Reunion
The 6th Annual Head Assembly Reunion will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Fire Mountain Grill. Fire Mountain is located across from the Lansing Mall at 730 Elmwood Drive, Lansing. Free Flu Shot Clinic in October
Free flu shots will be available for active and retired UAW members and their spouses on Saturday, October 25 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Flu Shot Clinic will be held at the Blue Care Network office at 1401 Creyts Road in Lansing. You MUST present your union card at registration to be eligible.

Get V-CAP Tickets and a Chance to Win a CTS
 V-CAP tickets are now on sale. This year the grand prize will be a Cadillac CTS, shown at right with Mike Green, Winston Williams and Randy Freeman. Tickets are available at the UAW Local 652 Union Hall or from any Union Representative or CAP Committee member. Tickets are $5 each.
New Benefit Hours at the Hall
 Benefit Representative will now be available at the UAW Local 652 Union Hall from
7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch) Monday through Thursday. They will be closed on Fridays. Benefit Representative staffing the office are:

Cancel Ineligible Health Care Dependants
 General Motors released a memorandum stating that all GM employees should make sure their dependants meet the requirements for Health Care coverage through the GM Health Care Program. If there are ineligible dependants on a GM employee’s health care program it may result in a financial penalty. To read the entire memo click HERE
Get your UAW Local 652 Shirts and Hats
 We now have UAW Local 652 t-shirts and hats for sale at the Hall. T-shirts are $9 each and come in red and navy blue and hats are $13 each and are available in either black or tan. Of course all shirts and hats are American made.
